Pribeag azi prin lumea de chin şi dureri, (A wanderer today through a world of suffering and pain,) Eu merg cântând pe cale; (I go singing along the way;) Prin vânturi, furtună şi valuri, mereu, (Through winds, storms and waves, always,) Ți-aduc azi „osanale”! (I bring You hosannas today!)

Strofa 2 2. Prin valea de plângeri păşesc cam timid (Through the valley of tears I walk rather timidly) Și caut mângâiere; (And seek comfort;) Duşmanul e tare şi eu sunt prea mic, (The enemy is strong and I am so small,) Dar Domnu-mi dă putere. (But the Lord gives me strength.)

Strofa 3 3. Alerg către ţintă pe drumul spinos, (I run toward the goal along the thorny road,) Prin valuri şi ispite, (Through waves and temptations;) Eu ştiu că-nainte păşeşte Cristos. (I know that Christ walks ahead.) Eu merg tot înainte. (I keep going forward.)

Refren 3 R3: /:Căci drumul cu spini netezeşte Isus, (/: For Jesus smooths the thorny road,) Ne poartă și crucea, aşa cum ne-a spus; (And carries our cross as He told us;) Apoi ne aşteaptă cu slavă-n cer sus, (Then He awaits us in glory in heaven above.) Trăiască Domnul! :/ (Long live the Lord! :/)

Strofa 4 4. Mai e doar puţin şi-om ajunge la mal, (Only a little longer and we shall reach the shore,) Cu Domnu-n fericire! (In happiness with the Lord!) O clipă, un ceas şi apoi la liman (A moment, an hour, and then at the safe haven) Ne-aşteaptă al nostru Mire. (Our Bridegroom awaits us.)
