#14 - Întoarce-te la dragostea dintâi

Strofa 1 1. Întoarce-te la dragostea dintâi, (Return to your first love;) Întoarce-te, o, pana când amâi? (Return—oh, how long will you delay?) Întoarce-te la ceea ce-ai pierdut: (Return to what you have lost:) Iubirea ta, iubirea din trecut! (Your love, the love you once had!)

Strofa 2 2. Întoarce-te! O, nu mai sta pe loc! (Return! Oh, stand still no longer!) Adu-ti aminte de-al iubirii foc, (Remember the fire of love,) Cum pentru Domnul tu te-ai ostenit (How you labored for the Lord) În dragostea dintâi cand ai venit. (When you first came in love.)

Strofa 3 3. Întoarce-te, caci Domnul te-a ales (Return, for the Lord has chosen you) Ca sa nu-ti pierzi iubirea ce-ai avut (So you may not lose the love you once had,) Cum au pierdut-o aceia din Efes. (As those in Ephesus lost theirs.) Întoarce-te, în iad sa nu ramâi! (Return, so you will not remain in hell!)

Strofa 4 4. Întoarce-te, caci, daca nu - sa stii - (Return, for if you do not, know this:) Iubirea sfânta te va parasi; (Holy love will leave you;) El va lua-napoi tot ce ti-a dat (He will take back all He has given you,) Si sfesnicul din loc va fi mutat. (And the lampstand will be moved from its place.)
